IDEA: Site Updates Made Easy
Ah, the dreaded To-Do List. If you're like me, your
list is constantly expanding and is populated with at
least a dozen perenniel items. Like, maybe, "Update
the website?"
It's a common dilemma - you spend lots of time and
money developing a quality website, only to allow it
to become out-of-date. A real shame, given that the
popularity of the website as a marketing tool is based,
in no small part, on the ability to update frequently
at a relatively low cost.
So why do we let this slide? There are lots of reasons.
Maybe your web developer went out of business. Maybe
the one guy in your office who knows how to do is out
sick, or buried with other projects, or (gasp) gone!
And you're stuck with 3 year-old press releases. Now
what?
What if you had a website that allowed you, or anyone
in your office, to update content quickly and easily,
without knowing any HTML? Pipe dream? Hardly. Actually,
we build them all the time.
Implementing a content management solution for those
portions of your site that require regular updates makes
a lot of sense. Here's why:
| 1. |
Keep it fresh. You
can add informative, compelling content to your
site on an ongoing basis, engaging your customers
and increasing your search engine visibility. |
| 2. |
Anybody in your office can
do it. And I do mean anybody. Just enter
(or copy and paste) your content into a simple web
form, and your site does the rest! |
| 3. |
Everybody in your office
can do it. Let Marketing post press releases
while HR posts job opportunities. Decentralizing
the responsibility for your website content takes
the pressure off, making updates a lot easier to
handle. |
| 4. |
It's FREE. Okay,
so you pay more in the beginning to set it up, but
big maintenance bills from your web developer are
history. Honest. |
Need proof that it works? Visit a few of our dynamic
sites, then give us a call to learn more about how we
can help you make site updates easy!
